Video of Violence Against Christians in India

April 16, 2010 — 2 Comments

Several weeks ago, I posted about a video I had seen detailing the violence that many Christians are experiencing in parts of India, and I shared about some of my experiences in India. You can read that post here – Violence Against Christians in India. At the time, some footage of the video was in question. The video has now been released with confirmed video of violence against Christians. I warn you that this footage is raw and brutal. I personally believe that those of us who live in comfort need to be jolted by its awfulness, but it may not be for everyone.

As I said in my previous post, I was moved to tears by the video, but I hope we will also be moved to prayer and to action for our friends who are suffering for Christ.

Don’t know if you knew this, but my brother and his people are there now…thanks for the reminder of our spiritual brothers’ and sisters’ realities. I often ask myself what the members of the church here in America will do when they are faced with the same option…abandon one’s faith or (literally) suffer. That time is coming…and too many are too comfortable to feel even the slightest desire to prepare. It grieves my heart.

NO WAY! This video is what I have been showing to people trying to raise awareness for India, and persecution… In order to graduate high school we have to complete a graduation project. I am
working to raise $6,000 to fund 1,000 bible to the persecuted Christians of
India. Thousands have been martyred, and hundreds of churches have been
destroyed. Terrible things are happening and the people there are screaming out
for help, but many take America and it’s amazing freedoms for granted- and they
are not aware of what is happening. Others are aware, but they do not realize
that they CAN make a difference. I am here to be that middle man, to help make
things happen, to raise money for Bibles. I will be hosting a benefit concert
November 13th with recording artists, “Day of Grace”, “The RETURN”, “The Altar”,
and “Written in Red”. I am thrilled to say that all proceeds will be going to
the mission, and funding the Bibles.
